Dir: Kevin S. Tenney
This above average B-Movie from the ever-dependable Tenney tells a similar story to the first film, although they're technically unrelated. In this, a frustrated young artist (Ami Dolenz) discovers a ouija board in her closet and begins using it to contact the spirit of a murdered stripper. Mystery and mayhem ensue, as I'm sure I don't need to tell you. That said, there's almost no gore in this and, to be honest, not even that much in the way of spookiness - the first one is stronger in both of these respects - but characterisation is strong, the story holds water and it's easy on the eye thanks to Tenney's imaginative direction and Ami Dolenz in a series of frilly nighties. Occasionally it's even enlivened with some goofball humour (the Jewish occultist is a notable nice touch), so you could do a damn sight worse. File under 'Time-killers'. **1/2
